Hello everyone,

I'm Harish Khandal. After completing my studies at Mandi School of Drama, I've dedicated 15 accomplished years in the film industry as a Casting Director, Acting Coach, Actor, and Director. I've deeply felt the importance of providing a nurturing space where new talents can confidently display their artistic excellence without any fear and hesitation. As actors, they can refine their skills and put their best foot forward. Our main aim on this journey is to provide training in fundamental theater acting skills through practical camera acting classes. With this thought in mind, I'm introducing "The Kingmaker Acting School." I'm fully dedicated to achieving this goal, and I sincerely request your attention.

Benefits of camera acting

In today's world, the camera is your canvas. Whether it's films, TV shows, web series, or social media content, the camera is where you'll shine. While theatre acting offers essential fundamentals, camera acting requires specialized skills. We believe in learning acting from both perspectives, but our focus is on camera acting, as it's the key to unlocking doors in the industry.

It differs from stage acting in several ways:

Subtlety: On camera, actors often need to convey emotions and nuances through facial expressions, body language, and subtle gestures since the camera captures even the smallest details. This is different from stage acting, where gestures and expressions may need to be more exaggerated for a larger audience.

Multiple Takes: Filmmaking involves shooting multiple takes of the same scene from different angles, allowing actors to refine their performances. This contrasts with live theater, where there are no retakes.

Blocking: Actors need to hit specific marks and follow choreographed movements to ensure they are in the right position for camera angles and framing. This precision isn't as critical in theater, where performers have more freedom to move.

Close-ups: The camera can capture extreme close-ups, highlighting the actor's face and emotions. This requires actors to master the art of "inner acting" to convey their character's thoughts and feelings effectively.

Naturalism: Film and television often aim for a high degree of naturalism, making the performances appear authentic and relatable. Stage acting, on the other hand, can be more stylized.

Repetition: Actors may need to perform the same scene many times from different angles, which can be mentally and emotionally demanding.

In summary, camera acting is a specialized skill set tailored for the unique demands of film and television production, requiring actors to adapt their techniques to the medium's characteristics.
